Active Learning
Talking to God when driving, I am reminded of how much he enjoys our conversation. Even though he already knows the details of my life, He loves to have me share with Him. The phone rang on Sunday and it was Becca. I knew that she and Ben would be getting ready to travel to her cousins wedding and I figured they would be driving to Portland. I was right. But it was so much more fun to hear her voice and their plans than it would have been to simply "know" about it.

Driving through the Palouse
While eating lunch yesterday, I drove out past Cheney on Betts road looking for a "perfect" spot for shooting the constituency video. Garrett and Jon are also scouting the area for a road with a hill and beautiful shades of green in the hillsides. There is nothing more invigorating that putting on the creative hat and imagening the outcome of various locations. I thank God for the gift he has given me -- a creative and inquisitive mind.

I'm a Grammy!
On April 4, Abby and I were enjoying lunch at the Mustard Seed. We had just taken Sammy, our impish dauchshund, to the vet for ill behavior and then home again with medicine and bland food. During lunch we received a phone call from Becca Marson which caused a joyful commotion. The news was so exciting and special that all that eeked from me were tears and croaks of joy. Abby said, "Mom, don't cry this is happy news." The news is that I am a grammy (Grandma). My new granddaughter, Chanitra, was born on November 12, 2006, Becca's birthday. The name Chanitra means, "creator." How appropriate because I know that she was created especially for Ben and Becca.
Now we'll all be on pins and needles to find out when we can go to Thailand to pick her up. See her in my photos.
One last thing. While I am a grammy, my husband, Bob, does not want to be called a grampy. Grandpa suits him untill such time as Kailani Chanitra calls him something different.

My First Entry
I will be entering a managerie of stories, scripts, goals, world views, etc. I love to communicate the exciting things God does in people's lives as well as my personal life. I have a fascination with Jesus that has led me to research the history and social customs during his the time of his childhood. A large project underway is writing a pilot movie for a weekly TV series called, Watching Jesus.
